Alpina just dropped 888 of these rose-goldies, commemorating the 5th anniversary of the “manufacture”.
In layman’s terms, the manufacture os the facility where production of these timepieces is undertaken. Not all watch companies are able to produce their own materials. As a matter of fact, many watchmakers design in-house but import cases and other essential parts from countries like China. To have the capability of manufacturing proprietary movements, cases and otherwise is a high accomplishment in watchmaking circles.
Anyway, the Startimer pictured here is a nice 18K Rose Gold version, limited at 888 pieces. I liked these when the Startimers were introduced a few months back, but this one is even nicer and adds that bossy edge to it. Dig it!!!
