At long last, I get around to posting about the HD3 Slyde. This timepiece is set to release later this fall, and I’m sure that many will be “geeked” to experience this wrister.
The HD3 is a revolutionary timepiece that combines traditional and future-forward concepts of watchmaking. The Slyde functions much like the modern smartphone, whereby the changing of applications is accomplished by sliding one’s finger over a touchscreen. By sliding across the watch screen, the user can generate an unlimited variety of timepieces on the wrist – corresponding to any event, desire, or particular moment. Software upgrades will be readily available as well. The Slyde comes with a charging dock that has a USB connection for syncing to a computer and accessing the internet. The dock serves the dual purpose of supplying power charges and an interface for upgrading the software and functionality of The Slyde. Once connected, one can purchase special watch dials to put in the watch, made available periodically by HD3. Hello, 2011!!!
The Slyde watches will be available with cases in black or grey titanium or in pink gold. Straps are in leather, printed alligator or rubber (5 colors). Every component of a SLYDE watch, complete with sapphire glass and water-resistant to a depth of 50 meters. That’s remarkable, because I’m certain that my iPhone couldn’t even handle 50 milliliters!!!
Be on the lookout. This is definitely a wrister worth consideration. Just be prepared to peel off about 4000 euros, or somewhere in the area of $5500 USD!!! Aahhh, the price of progress, indeed!!!
