In the 2010 movie release of “Up in the Air” starring George Clooney, an OMEGA Hour Vision made a cameo appearance on the wrist of Clooney’s character, Ryan Bingham. In the flick, it’s Bingham’s task to communicate the bad news to employees who are losing their jobs. Up in the Air’s theme of corporate downsizing resonated powerfully with recession-era audiences. Sharp-eyed viewers will notice that Clooney’s character, Ryan Bingham, wears an OMEGA Hour Vision wristwatch. Times don’t appear to be as tough for the man who delivers the bad news as for the people who receive it.
I haven’t seen the flick yet, but just might catch it on rental, just to get a glimpse of the Omega on Clooney’s wrist.
