I’m really feeling the pressure to drop some coin on a piece from Ohio-based watchmaker, Lum-Tec. This maker produces a collection of both functional and good looking pieces, and all feature this uber-bright luminescence on the dials.
Lum-Tec uses MDV technology® to create these extreme luminous hands and dials. MDV is a prorietary process for resulting in extra-luminous hands and indiscators on Lum-Tec’s timepieces. This is a special 6-8 layer application of Super-LumiNova applied over a chemical coated white base, causing an incredibly bright luminescent light charge. In essence, a very detail precise process that results in watch faces that glow like worms, in the lowest light conditions, and the glow holds unlike may watches that lose their luminesense all too quickly.
Pictured is the hottest bevy to be released from Lum-Tec, their M27, GMT model. When I say that I feel pressed, it’s because every time I jump onto Lum’s website, another model has sold through. Decisions, decisions…
a la carte features of Lum-Tec’s pieces include but are not limited to…
• 316L surgical grade stainless steel or tungsten carbide
• large case designs, ranging from 38mm-50mm sizes
• all watches are numbered limited editions
• minimum water resistance to100 meters/330 ft.
