a start to a great year for bvlgari….

At Baselword 2010, Bvlgari introduced some killer collabos with Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta, giving rise to some really hot adds to BG’s collections. Pictured is just one of the collabos, this one with Gerald Genta, the Octo Bi-Retro Steel Ceramic. this piece features a cool combo of materials such as steel, ceramic and rubber. This is a watch that clearly can live in multiple worlds, stylish, rugged and sporty…

This model is fitted with a sophisticated, power-jumping, date-wind display, along with a retrograde minute and date indications. The beast is driven by a proprietary movement, the Calibre GG7722, has a jumping hands display at 12 o’clock, complemented by the retrograde minute indication that runs over a 210° arc featuring a graduated scale that’s divided into 10 minute zones. Sounds like a lot but the maker manages to pull this off with a sick level of simplicity. Bvlgi has done good!
